I recently embarked on a trip, and it brought back a lot of memories—some good and some not so good. At times, you don't understand certain feelings until something triggers them. Despite the not-so-good memories, I realized I can’t avoid places or activities that bring them up. I shouldn’t let past pains or hurts prevent me from living my life or doing what I need to do. What's necessary is for me to deal with those memories.
Those memories stem from pain, hurt, and disappointment. What I've come to realize is that we all have something to heal from. When people talk about healing, some think it means something significant must have happened for someone to need healing. However, every single form of pain, hurt, betrayal, or disappointment requires healing.
Often, we carry baggage from past hurts, pain, or disappointments through the years and seasons of our lives, which inadvertently limits our growth and mental wellness.
The Bible says in Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV): "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It’s God’s will for us to heal. We need to heal. Prioritize your healing journey; it's very important for our growth and mental wellness. It also reflects on our relationships with the people around us. Some of us have been hurt by close friends or relatives, leading us to distance or isolate ourselves from others. In the end, you are not helping yourself.
What does isolation do to you? The devil's agenda is to cut you off from your environment so that his plans and purposes can prevail in your life. You might be asking yourself if it's possible to be free from these things. It is indeed possible if you make a decision in your heart and ask God for guidance.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV): "Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
I pray for anyone reading this whose heart is heavy and filled with pain that our God and Father will touch you and grant you comfort and peace that only He can provide. Father God, please heal their bodies, mend their hearts, and restore their spirits. Surround them with your presence, and let them feel your loving embrace.

Dear Olabisi,
Thank you for beautiful masterpiece.
To be very honest, healing from the past is very rough especially when there is not God in the process and I'm still dealing with mine.
I pray God heals the broken hearts and take out us from our isolation places.
God bless your for beautiful insight.
